Registration Rates
The Association's goal is to make the content shared at AAIC accessible to as many researchers in the field as possible. As a result, registration rates have been adjusted based on country classifications (PDF) from The World Bank and United Nations:
- HIC: High income countries and developed economies.
- LMIC: Low, lower middle and upper-middle income countries or developing economies, economies in transition, small island developing states.

AAIC + ISTAART Membership (Join or Renew):
New and renewing members can select the AAIC + ISTAART (Join or Renew) bundle during registration to receive no-cost virtual registration or discounted in-person registration for AAIC. - AAIC + ISTAART Professional Membership: Individuals who wish to purchase one year of ISTAART membership in addition to AAIC registration. ISTAART membership expires June 30, 2027.
- AAIC + ISTAART Postdoctoral Membership: Individuals who wish to purchase one year of ISTAART postdoctoral membership in addition to AAIC registration. These individuals have obtained their doctoral degree and are currently working in a postdoctoral trainee program. - Professional Interest Area (PIA) Day: For current and new ISTAART members only. Join the ISTAART PIAs on July 11 at the InterContinental London - The O2 for a day of education and networking. Non-members must join ISTAART to attend PIA Day.
People with Lived Experience and Care Partners
We deeply value the voices and lived experiences of people living with any disease that causes dementia and their care partners. Your insights help shape the future of our work, and we have incorporated many of your perspectives into our AAIC programming.
While we welcome your engagement across the breadth of events at AAIC, we encourage you to attend AAIC for All: Community, which is designed to support community members, including people living with any disease that causes dementia, and their care partners.
If you are still interested in attending the full AAIC programming, individuals living with dementia and accompanying care partners can register and attend the full five-day AAIC conference at no additional cost. Yes. Select AAIC + ISTAART (Join or Renew) during AAIC registration to renew your ISTAART membership and to attend AAIC online at no cost, or in-person at a discounted rate.
How do I learn more about the benefits of ISTAART membership?

Visa Information
All attendees are responsible for determining their own visa requirements and for obtaining the appropriate visa to attend AAIC. AAIC does not influence, control, or participate in the visa application, review, or approval process conducted by embassies or consulates. Please visit the U.K. government's website to check if you need a visa to travel to the U.K.
AAIC will provide visa invitation letters to registered attendees upon request and through the registration process. A visa invitation letter does not guarantee visa approval.
AAIC recognizes that visa processing timelines and outcomes may vary. Refunds may be considered under the following conditions:
- The registrant must submit official written documentation of visa denial from the issuing authority, or documentation demonstrating that the visa will not be issued in time to attend the conference.
- All visa-related refund requests must be received by June 12; thirty (30) days prior to the start of the conference.
- Requests submitted after this deadline, including those received during or after the conference, will not be considered.
Approved visa-related refunds will be processed in accordance with AAIC’s standard refund policy and may be subject to a $100 USD administrative processing fee. Refund requests submitted after the stated deadline, including those received after the conference has begun or concluded, will not be considered.
Housing
AAIC is partnering with bnetwork as the official accommodations agent for AAIC 2026, offering a large selection of rooms at specially negotiated rates as part of the registration benefits.
After you have completed registration, you will find a link to book housing in your registration confirmation email. You must be registered for AAIC to book within the AAIC housing block.

If you are arriving by plane, Excel London is located approximately 35 miles (56 km) from Heathrow Airport (LHR). London City Airport (LCY), while much smaller than Heathrow, is the closest airport to Excel London at just 2 miles (3.2 km) away.

Continuing Education
Continuing education credits are available for purchase for biochemists, geriatric psychiatrists, geriatric specialists, molecular and cell biologists, neurologists, neuroscientists, nurses, pharmacologists, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, radiologists and social workers.

Poster Presenters
All poster presenters are required to register. Instructions on how to post your presentation to the virtual platform will be shared with presenters.

Cancellation Policy
Requests to cancel your conference, preconference or workshop registration must be emailed to aaic@alz.org by June 12 in order to receive a refund. Your registration confirmation receipt must be included with the email. In-person registration cancellations will be subject to a $100 USD administrative fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations of any type, including no-shows, after June 12.
Attendees can also choose to change their registration type (from virtual to in-person, or in-person to virtual) for the difference in rates at any time including onsite at AAIC. Changing from in-person to virtual registration will be subject to a $100 USD administrative fee. After July 15 at 1 p.m. BST, no further registration changes will be permitted.
Child Policy and Childcare Information
Only those aged 18 and older are able to enter session rooms, receptions, the exhibit hall or any other general conference areas due to the sensitivity of presentations, and for the courtesy of other attendees. Please keep these age requirements in mind when planning your trip.
For conference attendees requiring childcare, AAIC 2026 is proud to work with KiddieCorp to offer dedicated childcare at the Excel London.
This service is available for children ages 6 months to 12 years, from Friday, July 10 through Wednesday, July 15 (7 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.) and Thursday, July 16 (7 a.m. – 2 p.m.). Learn more about pricing, registration and additional details.

Press
Journalists on assignment from recognized external print, broadcast, syndicated or online news organizations are eligible for complimentary registration. News media must apply for press credentials and be approved in order to receive advance access to embargoed news materials. Approvals for news media/reporters are at the discretion of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Film crews producing editorial or documentary-style content are also eligible to attend AAIC. Crews who wish to film at AAIC must apply for press credentials by June 1, 2026 to obtain permission. While on site, camerapersons must be accompanied by a staff member of the Alzheimer’s Association.
